Features of the Icelands Gold 250g down duvet
Icelands duvets are a delight for the most demanding people. Duvets with 100% cotton fabrics with Soft Treatment ®, which improves the feel and softness.
The best 98% white goose down, with a minimal proportion of small feathers (2%) to facilitate the perfect distribution of the filling in the cover, together with its 400-thread count cotton fabric, make this one of the best natural duvets from the Icelands brand.
- Handcrafted. Icelands duvets are sewn using domestic (not industrial) machines, completing an exclusive, artisanal manufacturing process.
- Color: White, made in checks with gold edging.
- Treatments. The Icelands brand feather and down filling is subjected to a process known as Duvelight® Process, which visibly improves the quality of the natural down (not shredded or recovered). A process that allows the filling to quickly recover its original shape and offers great heating power. The cotton fabrics are treated with the Soft Treatment® system, a softness treatment for the 100% cotton fabric of Duvet fillings, and the Down Proof® system is also applied, which always guarantees the use of raw materials subject to exhaustive quality control, and the total tightness of the filling inside the cover.
- Safety. Icelands natural duvets are completely safe, as they are virgin feathers and down that have been washed and sterilised at high temperatures, with cycles of more than 10 washes and dries.

Inner filling: 98% virgin down and 2% small virgin feathers . Feathers are made up of a small shaft with fine filaments, while down is a soft, light ball without shaft, made up of a core with filaments. This offers greater heat and insulation than feathers. The higher the percentage of down, the higher the quality of the duvet.
Filling weight. This duvet has a filling weight of 250 gr/m2, making it ideal for cold autumns or winters in cold areas and unheated rooms and/or with little thermal insulation.
Icelands cotton with Down Proof® system, has the maximum purity level, which guarantees high freshness and softness, low moisture absorption and high evaporation, as well as breathability. In addition, cotton does not pill, is washable and hypoallergenic.
Cotton fabric with 400 threads . Fabrics between 200 and 400 threads per inch are more voluminous, softer and more durable than those below 200 threads. In this case, the Gold duvet with 400 threads offers the maximum possible softness, strength and adaptability.
Filling power 830. This number indicates the quality and comfort of the down. The higher the filling power, the greater the volume, fluffiness and thermal insulation capacity with less weight. The Gold with its fp 830 offers the highest quality.
This ranges from an FP550 to an FP 900.
Safe to use. Icelands natural duvets are completely safe, as the feathers and down are subjected to sophisticated washing, disinfection and sterilisation processes at high temperatures, with cycles of more than 10 washes and dryings. This is done in order to offer a product with all the health guarantees, complying with current regulations and veterinary, health and quality control certificates.

Down Proof® Treatment. Treatment applied to the fabric of duvets with 100% natural virgin feathers and down, whose main function is to prevent the feather and down from passing through the fabric and coming into contact with the user's skin.
Duvelight® Process. Icelands® seal that guarantees the complete stabilization process of natural down and feather (not shredded or recovered). The application of this exclusive process allows the rapid recovery of its original shape, quality and high calorific value in record time, accelerating the union between its filaments to the maximum.
Health guarantee seal. Icelands® natural duvets are washed up to 10 times at temperatures above 120º C , using detergents specially indicated for feathers and down, then dried and sorted by air, until the product is completely sanitised, to the point that it can be used by anyone, even those allergic to dust and mites.
Soft Treatment®. Soft Treatment seal guarantees an extra soft feel to the fabric. Icelands® has developed a highly soft treatment exclusively for the 100% cotton Down Proof fabric, which is present in the entire range of feather and down duvets.
Connecting plate. If you buy two bed bases, you can add a connecting plate for twins to your basket, so that they can be joined together.
Trusted Textiles. All Icelands duvets have been manufactured under the trusted textiles standards of the prestigious Swiss Textex Institute .
