	WHAT ARE THEY? Mites are micro-organisms, less than half a millimetre in size, that live in dusty, warm and humid environments. Their favourite places are things that are usually not very breathable, such as cushions, duvets, stuffed animals and mattresses, all of which are areas that humans tend to rub against, as these little bugs feed on microscopic flakes of our skin. HOW DO THEY AFFECT US? Mite particles and their fecal remains remain inside poorly breathable fabrics, as well as in the air of closed spaces.
