What does my mattress warranty cover?
· The mattress warranty covers physical defects in the mattress. The most common problem is subsidence. If the mattress is sunken beyond a certain point, when no one is lying down, the warranty applies. The European regulations on tolerances in the measurements of sleep products consider a loss of 10% of the height of the mattress to be normal, or for the mattress to leave a mark where you have rested for several hours, especially in the hip area. Sinking is usually measured by stretching a thread or other taut object in a straight line over the surface of the mattress and the distance from the thread to the lowest part of the sinkhole is measured with a ruler.
· The mattress warranty also usually covers springs that have broken or protrude from the sides, surface foams if they have been scrambled for any reason, the seams of the mattress if they are breaking, or any other physical defects of the sort. If you suspect that there is something that may be covered by the warranty, please check with us first. If it still does not solve your doubt, please contact the manufacturer directly.
To complain about possible defects in a product covered by the warranty, the original purchase invoice must be attached. As such, MuebledeCasa.Net undertakes to:
1. Repair or replace any of the damaged parts of the product free of charge, provided that they are manufacturing defects.
2. The decision to repair or replace defective products will be taken by MueblesdeCasa.Net, as a professional, taking into account the nature of each product.
What things does your mattress warranty NOT cover?
1. The mattress warranty does NOT cover comfort issues. If your mattress does not provide good support or causes pressure on your body, we are not dealing with a hidden vice. The warranty only covers structural problems, not that the product is unable to maintain its comfort over time. That is why it is extremely important to know how to choose the ideal mattress for each person.
2. Defects caused by transport or improper use, poor storage, dirt, use of force, damage by water or fire, excessive loads, dirt and stains on the mattress, use of chemical products, or repairs carried out by third parties.
3. Holes, stains in the fabric, loose threads or other similar imperfections, which are not claimed at the time of delivery, or within 24 hours of receipt.
4. The tolerances with respect to the length, width and thickness measurements that will admit variations of +/- 3 cm.
5. From the beginning of the use of the mattress, there is a normal settlement of the inner layers that ranges between + 0/-2 (UNE-EN 1334:1996 standard). This totally normal circumstance does not give the right to any reparation or compensation.
6. Remove the label. This label is the one you will find sewn or glued to the mattress and it says "do not remove this label". This information is used to regulate manufacturers' products. The consumer is completely free to remove this label, but this act will void the warranty. It's kind of like removing the VIN number from your car and hoping that the warranty covers any problems you have. There is no other proof that it is the same mattress you bought.
7. Stains. If a mattress is stained, the warranty is void. This applies even to problems where stains have nothing to do with it, such as a sagging mattress. Liquids can soak the mattress and deteriorate the foams inside. In addition, stains can be unhygienic and no one wants to take such a mattress back to the warehouse. You can prevent stains by simply using a waterproof mattress protector.
8. Incorrect or deformed base. Your mattress needs a good base to lean on. This can take different forms. The most common is, perhaps, the bed base with wooden slats, or an upholstered base. Using an old or deteriorated bed almost always voids the warranty. If you don't want to buy a new bed, consider a simple legbed base or an upholstered base with a solid surface. If you use a slatted bed base, make sure that the middle part provides strong and stable support to the mattress.
Conditions for returning mattresses
Remember that the mattress will have to be returned in the same condition in which it was received. It will be received in our warehouse with the same plastic sleeve in which you received it. In the case of vacuum-rolled mattresses, no returns will be accepted that are not covered by our warranty and the mattress must be unpacked within 10 days of receipt at your home.
Rules of use for our mattresses
